Today in class we watched a movie. It was Ted (Technology Entertainment, and design). One of the inventors of EBay was talking. He talked about some of his past experiences, as well as some of his future plans. He was no longer working with EBay, he was now working as a director for movies. He had made his ca-zillion dollar’s already and was looking for more still. There was something that he said that kind of stuck with me. It was “Bet on good people doing good things.” I really didn’t give it that much thought in the beginning, but now that I think about it… It makes me wonder how many good people are still left out there. This concept might have worked for the EBay guy, perhaps he got lucky. But can we really bet on anyone doing what’s right? I mean there are a given few out there that try to do what is right… but I personally would not take a bet on any random person to do what is considered “right.” You find a suitcase full of money…what is considered the “good” thing? I mean what might be good for one, might not be good for another. It just made me think for a second. That’s all.
